Events of Criminal Case

Yoshimune became a suspect after Jack and the player found his whetstone. Jack revealed that the shogun had been murdered and told him that it was possible that one of his swords had been used to kill him. Shocked about the murder, he revealed that he had crafted the shogun's katana and that the shogun understood him better than anyone.

Yoshimune was spoken to again about his angry note to the shogun. He revealed that when he presented the shogun with the katana, the shogun assumed that it was a gift. Yoshimune received no compensation for his work and overheard the shogun boasting about the sword he had acquired for free, making Yoshimune realize that he had been swindled.

Yoshimune was found to be innocent after the team incarcerated Jyunpei Oyama for Shogun Gojo's murder. Later, Jack and the player asked Yoshimune to make swords for Shogun Tokiko Gojo in order to supply her soldiers with weapons for their upcoming battle against the Mongolians. Yoshimune accepted the job and told the team that he needed his lucky hammer. Jack and the player retrieved the hammer from the teahouse and Jack delivered it to him.
