Events of Criminal Case

Venextos became a suspect after Zara and the player found his metal sculpture of two Gaulish soldiers at the Gaul village. After the team told him that Chieftain Katurix had been murdered, Venextos worried about the peace negotiations with the Romans. He told the team that he wanted to join forces with the Romans as the peace treaty would positively impact his business as he would make weapons for hundred of Roman centurions.

Venextos was spoken to again about the victim's pouch that he had stolen. He told the team that he had stolen the money as Katurix had neglected to pay him for the weapon he had asked him to forge. He then complained that the Chief did not care about his livelihood.

In the end, it was proven that Venextos was Katurix's killer. Upon admitting to his crime, Venextos said he had overheard Katurix praying to the gods at the dolmen to protect him while he ran away and abandoned the tribe. Not approving of his betrayal, Venextos bashed the Chieftain's head in with a stone. They presented him to the tribe, where Delignata, the new Gallic Chieftain, sentenced him to stand first-in-line without a shield when they would face the Romans.

  • In Stranded in Gaul's sticker album, it is noted in the suspect list sticker that Venextos is 5'6" when he appeared as 5'8" in his profile. This is most likely a developer oversight.
