  • Based on a calendar seen in the Market Street crime scene in Case #2, the case takes place in a year when July 2nd falls on a Sunday; since there are free African Americans in prominent roles, the story must take place after the Civil War (1865), but presumably also takes place before WW1 (as this Wiki states that it takes place during the Victorian Era).  This means the potential years are:

    ·         -- 1865

    ·         -- 1871

    ·         -- 1876

    ·         -- 1882

    ·         -- 1893

    ·         -- 1899

    ·         -- 1905

    ·         -- 1911

However, we also know that the Concordian Flying Squad operates out of an airship; the Zeppelin wasn’t invented until 1900, which narrows our years down to 1905 or 1911.  Can anyone draw any clues that will narrow it down further?  (I know this Wiki says "late 19th century", but that doesn't fit the historical record - there were no airships in the late 19th century...)

    • I believe 1899, and is not the wiki that says "late 19th century" was the game itself that said it. Also do not try to create these theories or look for mistakes on dates as you will go crazy with how much mistakes you will find. An example: the American flag in one of the scenes of the crimes is with more stars than it should for that time. And several other errors should be found with the following cases.

    • It can't be 1905 or 1911, since the Victorian Era ended in 1901 with Queen Victoria's death.

      I'm also thinking 1899.

You mean like Irish, African American and Asian officers working in a completely desegregated police force in 1899?  ;-)

This was the fact that made me stop trying to place a year on it and just assume it was the 1890s and ignoring anything that said otherwise. XD

    • There was very little difference between the Victorian and the Edwardian era, and many people confuse the two. 1905 and 1911 would be Edwardian, but I could see them working.

    • 1905, because of the blood type Discovery, that where made in 1900 (Actually, AB type was discovered in 1903) so, it is my guess.

    • I think it's 1905 because Viola said that blood types were recent discoveries in Welcome to Concordia! 2 years should still be recent for scientific discoveries. Sorry for the boldface. (I couldn't deactivate it because my tablet is laggy)
