The Young and the Lifeless is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the eighty-seventh case of the game. It is the thirty-first case of Pacific Bay and the first to take place in the Ivywood Hills district.

Plot

Previously on Criminal Case, Chief Marquez moved the team to Ivywood Hills. Amy wanted to work again but the Chief told Amy to rest from all the events of the last case. Frank was instructed to give the player a tour of Ivywood, much to his disappointment. Frank obliged anyway and took the player to the iconic Ivywood sign. There, they found actress Felicia Steppingstone tied to the sign with slash wounds. To start off the investigation, Felicia's body was sent to Roxie for autopsy while Holly Hopper was interrogated for tresspassing.

Tucker Smalls, the victim's assistant, was eventually incriminated by Frank and the player for the murder. He attempted to persuade the police that he had nothing to do with Felicia's death. Tucker eventually admitted to the crime when Frank listed all the evidence they acquired. Tucker was shipped to trial so that he could explain his reasons for the murder before Judge Dante.

Tucker told the court that Felicia ruined his life as she treated Tucker like a slave. Tucker was forced to do errands and chores for the actress, and he was yelled at constantly. Felicia promised Tucker that she would introduce him to some of her agents so that he would be as famous as her but Tucker eventually figured out that her promises was empty.

Frank was surprised when Judge Dante said Tucker was arrested for cocaine possession because the assistant claimed he was arrested for speeding and driving without a license. Further details stated that Tucker was pulled over the night before the case and was indeed guilty of what Tucker said he was arrested for. However, the patrollers also found cocaine in the car's trunk. Tucker said that Felicia told him to get her cocaine during the pool party that night. However, the police assumed it was Tucker's since they found the drugs in his car. Tucker was enraged after Felicia gave him a criminal record so he killed her and displayed her slashed body to the public to show everyone what a monster she was. Judge Dante asserted that murder was never a solution to anything so he gave Tucker a 20-year jail sentence.

After the trial, Russell wanted to amend after becoming a suspect in the previous case. He then falsely arrested Abbi Absinthe for breaking in the theater and stealing a film reel. The player was not convinced by the arrest so they took Frank to investigate the theater once more, where they found Reggie Perez guilty of the crime. Russell then apologized to Abbi for his mistake.

Chief Marquez found out about Russell's mistake and told him that the next time he made a major mistake, she would kick him out of the force. Russell said that he felt like coming back to his hometown would only bring trouble. He also took the time to state that he should become more of a humble person.
