Events of Criminal Case

Patil became a suspect after it was revealed he was the last person who called the victim on his phone. Surprised to hear of Dhudwar's murder, he said that Dhudwar was one of his students, and though his main subject was science, he considered him intelligent. He called Sunil because he wanted to check on him with the recent disasters occurring, not knowing it would be the last time he would be heard alive.

Patil was interrogated again regarding a message he wrote to the victim on his essay. Considering the underlying meaning behind the message, Marina offered to speak to the professor alongside the player. He acknowledged that while the victim was gifted in science, he was frustrated with Dhudwar's lack of understanding in sociology.

When sufficient evidence arose, Patil was found to be responsible for killing Sunil, as well as for unleashing the plague that devastated Bangalore. Patil denied involvement at first but eventually admitted to his crimes. Worried about the world's overpopulation crisis, he was informed by the victim about a virus being engineered in the science department. In lieu of recent natural disasters in India, Patil obtained a sample of the virus from the laboratory and infected Dhudwar via syringe, allowing the disease to spread to others before Dhudwar was killed. Patil revealed that he did not develop a cure for the virus, and due to his lack of remorse, he was sentenced to life in prison by Judge Adaku.

Trivia

  • Ayush is seen having bigger pupils in his arrest photo. This is most likely a developer oversight.
  • Additionally, his University badge is seen on a lanyard instead of attached to his coat.
