Stars are an integral element in Criminal Case. Without stars, the player cannot advance any further in the storyline as they are used as currency when it's time to perform autopsies, analyze evidence, or question witnesses, and to progress in the case.
The Star Icon
The star icon is located at the top right hand corner of the Crime Scenes Menu (as shown in this picture) and is represented by an icon of a star as the amount of stars in hand.
Usage
The player can use stars to do the following things:
- Advance in-between cases.
- Get medals.
- The player can earn a gold medal in the case if they manage to acquire all the stars for each crime scene of that case. Gold medals enable the player to unlock Police Dog Shops.
- The player can trade stars for energy items once they've arrested the killer and completed the Additional Investigation of a case.
How to Get Stars
A pop-up box will appear if the player wants to progress through the case they're currently working on but don't have enough stars to do so.
The player can earn a star each time they reach a certain amount of points after a crime scene investigation. Please note that each crime scene investigation requires 20 energy; however, an all-starred crime scene (a crime scene in which the player has earned all five stars) requires 5 energy only.
Notes
- Stars cannot be transferred from one case to another.
