Stars are an integral element in Criminal Case. Without stars, the player cannot advance any further in the game's storyline.
The star icon
A star icon is generally located at the top right corner of the case screen. It is, as obvious, represented by an icon of a star accompanied by a specific number to display the current amount of stars in hand – which makes this icon useful for the player.
Usage
Stars are needed to:
- Examine evidence or clues.
- Interrogate suspects and quasi-suspects.
- Arrest the killer (except in The Death of Rosa Wolf).
Sometimes, they are needed to:
- Advance in-between chapters.
- Advance in-between cases.
If the player chooses, they can:
- Get all stars for gold medals used to unlock Police Pet Shops.
- Trade at the end of each case:
- 1 star for 20 energy
- 2 stars for 10,000 coins
- 3 stars for one Sticker Pack
Obtaining stars
The player can earn a star each time they reach a certain amount of points after successfully solving a scene. Please note that each crime scene investigation requires 20 energy.
Notes
- Stars cannot be transferred from one case to another.
- If the player arrests the wrong killer, they lose a star.
