Murder details
Sabine was found crushed by a boa constrictor in a water-filled snake tank at the Popotin Rouge. Nadia deduced that the victim was pushed into the tank after a short struggle with the killer. On the victim's wrists, she found bruises resulted from the struggle and traces of cough syrup. Since the victim's lungs were in perfect condition, Nadia concluded that the killer had a cough.
Relationship with suspects
Socialite Eleonora Macaron was angry at Sabine for portraying her father, Antoine Macaron, as an idiot when she was acting and dressing up as him during one of the plays. Animal handler Rémi Roy threatened Sabine for making one of his ponies collapse from exhaustion during her rehearsal. Sabine discovered that cabaret dancer Ava de Paradis was sleeping with customers to earn extra money, so Sabine threatened her by telling the owner of Popotin Rouge, Jacques Lelarge, if she doesn't stop sleeping with the customers. She also threatened Jacques by leaving the Popotin Rouge if he didn't give her a higher pay raise every few months. Sabine was rude to writer Grégoire Ewan, resulting in him having writer's block.
Killer and motives
The killer turned out to be Jacques.
Lelarge said that he was being blackmailed by Sabine to give her a raise or she would leave the cabaret, which would make him lose customers. He then caught wind of Sabine's plan to use the money to eventually establish her own cabaret with the Popotin Rouge's dancers. To prevent the plan from coming to fruition, Lelarge pushed her by surprise into the snake tank while she was rehearsing for her opening act. Judge Lebrun sentenced him to 40 years in prison.

- Sabine is a reference to Satine (portrayed by Nicole Kidman) from the 2001 Baz Luhrmann jukebox musical romantic drama film Moulin Rouge!.
