Murder details

Sébastien was found dead with a bullet wound in his chest, lying on a bistro chair. Nadia deduced the killer used a silenced gun due to the striations on the bullet she dug out of his chest. She also found a drop of Laval cigarette ash on his clothes. Since the victim did not smoke, Nadia concluded that the killer smoked Laval cigarettes.

Later, back at the bistro, Carrie and the player found a silenced pistol discarded in a trash can. After confirming the murder weapon, Nadia found microfibers soaked with lens cleaner on the gun's sharp parts, prompting Nadia to determine that the killer wore glasses.

Relationship with suspects

Sébastien turned out to have a secret admirer, intern Juliette Segal, who was afraid to ask him out in fear of losing her internship. Editor Martine Meunier, however, argued with him because she was against him getting his own TV show. Additionally, Gianni Domani saw Sébastien as a threat to his work because he was caught snooping around his studio. Since Sébastien never interviewed him, Gianni assumed he was looking to sell information to other designers. CEO of Stacy's, Howard Stacy, despised Sébastien because he made social media posts against his company, resulting in Stacy losing a significant amount of sales due to his posts. Sébastien also wrote an article about CEO of Chior, Simone Lemaitre, that implied she was too old to be a designer.

Killer and motives

The killer turned out to be Juliette.

Upon confessing, Juliette told the team that she had wanted to work for Sébastien, even showing him her fashion illustrations to prove her skills. However, Sébastien hated them, going so far as to try to tell Martine to fire her. Fearing that she would get blacklisted from the industry altogether, Juliette sent him anonymous threats and settled on shooting him with a silenced gun to save her career. Judge Lebrun sentenced her to 35 years in prison.
