Rainee was a spiritual healer with long messy blonde hair and blue eyes. At the time of her death, she donned a multicolored tie-dye dress and sported bronze hoop earrings.
Rainee's body was found with her heart pierced by a crystal shard in her office. Gwen and the player immediately filed the crystal shard as the murder weapon. Ben revealed that the card that was pinned to Rainee's chest was an upside-down "High Priestess" tarot card, which (per Felix) meant secrets and backstabbing. Since the killer used the tarot card to make a symbolic message, Ben concluded that the killer read tarot cards.
Relationship with suspects
The longer that Rainee practiced her healing, the less she believed in what she was doing. The fact that she was only practicing for the money annoyed fellow spiritual healer Amanda Harrison, who worried that Rainee could have ruined the reputation of the rest of their community. Rainee converted CEO Jesse Adams into a believer of spiritual healing, although she gave him bad financial advice. She was friends with gold magnate Justine Bankston in high school, although she ended their friendship when she claimed that Justine had bad karma. Rainee also angered multiple people: she was warned by Deputy Mayor Melissa Roanhorse about holding her healing sessions in tribal sacred space, and she sued environmentalist Zeke Davis for denying her access to the crystal caves, who had done so in order to protect the ears of the celadon dragons living there from Rainee's chanting.
Killer and motives
The killer turned out to be Jesse.
Jesse admitted that he had fallen in love with Rainee but when he confessed his love for her with a crystal shard, she rejected him. Blinded with anger, Jesse stabbed her in the chest. The team then handed him over to Deputy Mayor Melissa Roanhorse, who handled his incarceration.
