Paris is the capital of France, and the main setting for City of Romance, the eighth and final season of Criminal Case. Prior to the season, it was briefly featured in Off with Their Heads (Case #2 of World Edition) and The Murder of Napoleon (Criminal Case: Travel in Time exclusive).
Composed of six districts, Paris is known for its historical and artistic monuments, along with its contributions to fashion and love, true to its nickname as the "City of Romance". The Parisian Police Squad (PPS) acts as the law enforcement agency that serves the city.
Paris features a total of seventeen cases, which are located across six different districts, each themed after a romantic phase:
Fantasy is the first district investigated in Paris. It focuses on the adjustments of the player and Officer Carrie James, both loaned American police officers, to the Parisian life during Fashion Week, as well as the latter's search for her brother in the city.
Attraction is the second district investigated in Paris. Following the anonymous tip of an animal smuggling ring at a local cabaret in Montmartre, the police is tasked to quash it, while waiting for a signal from Carrie's newly found brother and his connections to a mobster and his daughter.
Obsession is the third district investigated in Paris. Following the end of the animal smuggling scheme, the police is tasked with securing a large event located in the famous Place de Vosges that's most likely connected to the Luvver app. The police also assist Cody in protecting himself from Macaron's goons.
Jealousy is the fourth district investigated in Paris. Following Luvver’s events, the police are tasked to deal with various criminal activities involving Macaron, Prince Amadou and Luvver, while Cody and Eleonora continue their whirlwind romance.
Separation is the fifth district investigated in Paris. Following Macaron's release from prison, a series of events leads to tragedy, heartbreak and sorrow, as Enzo and Carrie prepare for a new beginning.

Engagement is the sixth and final district investigated in Paris.
