Madena is 47-year-old protest leader, against the construction of the wall between the United States and Mexico. She has short brown hair and opal earrings. She dons an army green shirt with concrete smudges on it and a white scarf around her neck. It is known that Madena drinks tequila, rides a motorcycle, and has Aztec knowledge.
Events of Criminal Case
Madena was first interrogated after the player and Jack found her flyer against the wall's construction. She was already aware of Cindy's death, but she claimed she had nothing to do with it since she is a peaceful protestor. She had felt that Cindy and the wall went against everything she believed in, as such she believed Cindy was her enemy. Despite that, she respected the victim's conviction to stand behind her cause, even though she did not agree with it.
Madena was spoken to again about a picture of her and her daughter, which was found torn-up. She said the victim tore it up, hoping by showing it, it would make Cindy see the impact the building of this wall was having. However it did not work, and Cindy just said mongrels like her should just stay on their side of the border. Madena was furious, saying once the wall was built, she would never be able to go on motorbike trips to America with her daughter ever again.
Despite claiming to be a peaceful protestor, she was later revealed to be Cindy's killer. Madena tried denying involvement but admitted to the crime. Madena would be unable to see her daughter Rose again if the wall was finished and the Mexicans locked in their country. She had talked to Cindy to convince her to stop but she had laughed at her. Madena had been pushed to her limit when Cindy had called her daughter a "half-breed", which led her to tie Cindy to a hook and relentlessly beat her to death with a piñata bat. Judge Adaku sentenced her to 30 years in jail.
