Leap of Death is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the eighty-first case of the game. It is the twenty-fifth case of Pacific Bay and the first one to take place in the White Peaks district.

Previously on Criminal Case, Chief Marquez opted to transfer the player to Pacific Bay's famous vacation spot, White Peaks, where increasing crime rates escalated like a plague. Being the home of Amy Young, Chief Marquez gave Amy permission to take the player to the Frosty Cup for the player to experience the snowy scenes of White Peaks.

Previously on Criminal Case, Chief Marquez transferred the team to White Peaks which reported escalating crime rates. Amy wanted to tour the player around her hometown by to taking them to the Frosty Cup. The sports event was stopped when ski jumper Anjulie Cruz was sliced in half after she jumped off a ramp to start the first ever Women's Ski Jump event. Roxie said that a taut wire was added to the end of the ramp. When Anjulie jumped off, the wire sliced her in half.

After the cops gathered enough evidence and Amy interrogated her ex-lover Bobby Prince, they were able to incriminate International Skiing Association president Sven Blattner for the murder. Sven said that he killed Anjulie to stop the Women's Ski Jump event because he did not want women to participate in the sport event. Sven told Judge Dante that he took a stand for athletics as a true act of heroism intended for men only and that the victim had threatened to sue him. The judge sentenced Sven to 25 years in jail.
Amy's enjoyment of the Frosty Cup was ruined (Amy dropped her ice cream in shock) when a respected ski jumper named Anjulie Cruz was sliced in half as she jumped off the ramp to kick off the first ever Women's Ski Jump event in the Frosty Cup. After watching the premeditated murder, the player rushed Anjulie to Roxie Sparks, only to be informed that the premeditated murder occurred due to a cutter wire installed in the ramp with Anjulie in mind. Amy struggled to keep her personal feelings aside as she was forced to interrogate her ex-sweetheart, Bobby Prince, during the investigation. International Skiing Association president Sven Blattner opted to ban women from skiing following Anjulie's death, but the investigation proved Sven liable for the premeditated murder of the respected female ski jumper.

Post-indictment, Amy introduced the player to her wheelchair-bound brother Duncan Young, who was a former police officer. Amy and the player also checked up on Sharon White who claimed that someone was harassing her. Sharon complained that the Night Walker was her harasser. With Sharon's goggles, they were able to pinpoint Claire Cambridge, a fellow skier, to be the one who was sabotaging Sharon. However, Claire denied stalking Sharon and using the guise of the Night Walker, so the team decided to keep their eyes out for the Night Walker.
Amy informed Sven about the apparatus he used to seal Anjulie's fate, much to Amy's beliefs of females having an equal chance for a medal in the Frosty Cup. Sven made it clear that he's a sexist and that he hated the idea of women being in ski jumping as he recalled during his time ski jumping and the Frosty Cup were serious sports for men only before he was forced to include a women's segment of the sporting event. Sven competed in the Frosty Cup when he was younger but failed to garnish a medal, and as such, allowing women to land a medal in the Frosty Cup would be out of the question on his watch. Amy and the player turned Sven to face trial before Judge Dante.

Summary
Sven told the court that winter sports were meant for males for centuries as a true test of heroism but stood tall with his two feet during his testimony. Sven hated the fact that he had to make ski ramps safer to accommodate women which he believed would be a waste in the ISA's budget, causing Sven to believe that there's no more glory in winter sports. What drove Sven to murder was that Anjulie threatened to sue the ISA for alleged sexism unless he allowed women in the Frosty Cup, but Judge Dante told Sven that gender discrimination doesn't pay under any circumstances. Sven was thus sentenced to 25 years in jail for the premeditated murder of Anjulie and promoting sexism in winter sports.

Following Sven's incarceration, Chief Marquez wanted Amy and the player to check up on Sharon White after she received reports of "The Night Walker"—a boogeyman who supposedly comes out of the forest to snatch people away—harassing Sharon in all corners. Meanwhile, Amy introduced the player to her brother, Duncan Young, who served as a police officer in Pacific Bay, but was forced to step down after he was confined to a wheelchair. Although Amy was unable to give the player a proper introduction to her hometown, she managed to calm Sharon down.

Leap of Death is a case featured in Criminal Case, appearing as the eighty-first case of the game. It is the twenty-fifth case of Pacific Bay and the first one to take place in the White Peaks district.

Plot
