Events of Criminal Case

Jeb became a suspect after the player and Isaac found a survival book he had given to the victim. He had pointed a gun at them when they first approached him. However, when he heard of Will's murder, he said he knew trouble would catch up to him when he left home. He also said the same thing would happen to those who left Devil's Ridge, and that life outside the area was never safe.

Jeb was spoken to again about a message written to him by the victim, telling him to "get off his high horse". According to him, his son wanted to get him out of Devil's Ridge, but Jeb wanted nothing to do with it. His property was his alone, and the only way he would be leaving is in a pine box, despite the victim telling him he was acting all high and mighty about it.

Jeb was found to be innocent after the team incarcerated Lucy Liang for Will's murder. However, the player and Rose needed to speak with him about why Devil's Ridge became such a ghost town. Greetings aside, all he knew was a gang of nasty people made a ruckus over on the main street. Once a few hours passed, everyone besides him had left, so Rose and the player decided to check the main street to see what happened.
