Head Case is a case featured in Criminal Case as the fifty-second case of The Conspiracy (Season 5) and the two-hundred eighty-third case overall. It takes place in the Airport district of Grimsborough.
Plot

Jones, Gabriel, and the player went to Grimsborough Psychiatric Hospital to talk to Zoe Kusama regarding the human experiments under DreamLife's dome, only to find her dead with her head bashed in at the hospital courtyard. With Jones emotionally unable to continue the investigation, Gabriel took care of him while Gloria joined the player in the investigation.
Later, the team (with the help of orderly Tobias Randall) had to calm down a group of distressed patients that believed that Santa was going to kill them. Later, a grieving Jones confronted Gloria and the player about their progress in the murder before he burst into tears again, going back to the office with Gabriel. Soon after, the team found enough clues and arrested Zoe’s friend, news reporter Louis Leroux, for the murder.
Louis denied all the evidence until he was confronted about his unintentional advances, which made him snap. He explained that he had killed Zoe because he saw what she could do with her mind. It was one day that he had went to see Zoe unannounced when he had saw Zoe levitating a teacup. After Zoe had denied to disclose any more claiming it was nothing, Louis started to wonder if her abilities was due to her experiences under the dome. When Louis tried to persuade Zoe to get tested about her abilities so he could uncover the truth, Zoe freaked out and hysterically screamed for help. This led Louis to panic before grabbing a nearby fence post and smashing her head in to keep her quiet. Judge Powell sentenced Louis to life in prison. After the trial, Jones thanked them for finding Zoe’s killer before he said that he wanted to say goodbye before he ingested some pills.
