The Murder of Emilie Bouton is a case exclusive to Criminal Case: City of Romance, where it serves strictly as an introductory tutorial.
Plot
After an attack was reported at a Parisian quay, Hugo and the player headed there to retrieve the dead body of French novelist Emilie Bouton, who was found with a stab wound in her chest. After gaining enough evidence from a lab analysis, a witness testimony, and a left-behind clue, the team arrested the victim's editor, Raymond Aymé, for the murder. Chief Delacroix thus deemed the player prepared enough to take on another murder in the city of Paris.
