It All Comes to a Head is a case featured in Criminal Case as the seventeenth and the final case of City of Romance (Season 8) and the three-hundred sixty-ninth and the final case overall. It is the only one to take place in the Engagement district of Paris.

Plot

After learning of Samy Malouf's connections to President Gérard Roquefort's deepfake video, Léa informed Carrie and the player of Samy's death. Carrie and the player then headed to the Louvre, where they found Samy's decapitated body in a sculpture room.

Shortly after, they suspected Émile after discovering that he had a heated argument with Samy before the murder. Mid-investigation, Léa informed them that she had spotted Eleonora Macaron by Carrie and Enzo's wedding venue at the Eiffel Tower, prompting them to search the venue for more clues. Afterwards, they spoke to the President after discovering that he was near the murder scene. Later on, the detectives had to calm down a rioting Parisian mob who were demanding justice for Samy, unaware of his involvement in the deepfake video. However, in the end, the detectives found Eleonora guilty of Samy's murder.

Upon admitting to the murder, Eleonora confessed that she had lied to the team from the start as her ex-fiancé, Cody, had just been a plaything with insider ties to the police that she could delve into. She then admitted that she had schemed a master plan to take over France, with her father, Antoine, at the lead. She then said that she persuaded her father to cut a deal with Samy to invest in Luvver in exchange for a deepfake to bring down the President. However, with Antoine's murder, Samy decided that he would become President himself. Refusing to let Samy take advantage of her plans, she followed Samy into the Louvre and beheaded him with a ceremonial sword in a political execution. Judge Lebrun then sentenced Eleonora to life in prison for the murder and her conspiracy against the President.

After the arrest, Enzo, with the player and Jean-Philippe's help, was able to finish his wedding vows after Enzo went to the Louvre for inspiration. Meanwhile, Jones enlisted Chief Delacroix and the player's help to piece together the whereabouts of Jones's new girlfriend, Alessia Dupont, whom he had met in Switzerland on his travels around Europe. Afterwards, Cody and the player prepared to head to the wedding.

At the wedding, Carrie and Enzo spoke their vows and shared their first kiss as a married couple, before Carrie threw the bouquet, which the player caught. Afterwards, the player reminisced and celebrated with the happily wedded couple and several of the player's old friends and their plus ones from various adventures around the world. After they toasted the recently wedded couple, the player was thanked for all the memories they had created.
