Ernest Turing was the CEO of the tech corporation in Innovation Valley known as Meteor Systems. Ernest had gray hair, green eyes and wore a pair of glasses. At the time of his death, he donned a white suit with a Meteor Systems badge and a lavender scarf, and somehow lost his glasses.
Ernest was found in the office of Drone Zone by the player and Amy with money jammed in his mouth. After sending it to Roxie, she managed to determine the money was used as the murder weapon. It blocked the victim's airways, suffocating him to death. Roxie also located bruising on various points of the victim's body. She explained that the killer exerted pressure on his chakras, energy points that regulate a body's mood and health. The only way someone would know that is if they practiced yoga, so that was added to their profile.
Relationship with suspects
Ernest had founded Meteor Systems with Bob Levene, who claimed to have all the coding knowledge. However, Ernest tried to take all the credit for himself and fire Bob. Ernest had created Per-Sephone a year prior, but the two went into an argument after Per-Sephone found out that Ernest was creating new technology that would make her obsolete. Ernest was married to Teresa Turing, who was an avid spender. He then started planning to build a robot that looked like Teresa to replace her, offending Teresa. Ernest had recently acquired Drone Zone from its founder, David Rosenberg, to shut it down so it could get the company's patents, angering David. Ernest also refused to pay factory workers like Zhou Li a livable wage. When Zhou confronted him, Ernest threatened to get her deported if she did not stick to her no-pay job.
Killer and motives
The killer turned out to be Per-Sephone.
Initially denying involvement, Per-Sephone admitted to the crime. She heard Ernest wanting money and wanted to help him. After hacking an ATM machine open with binary code, she pressed Ernest's chakras to put him in "standby" and then inserted dollar bills into his mouth believing he was a machine, unwillingly choking him. Judge Dante ordered her to be turned off and her memory to be reset.
