Emily Wallace was the killer of yakuza leader Yuto Watanabe in A Death Wish (Case #29 of World Edition).

Emily is a 35-year-old English teacher. She has blonde hair and wears a power crystal bracelet on her right wrist. She dons a bright yellow suit over a black dress with gray polka dots, and usually carries around a binder carrying a TOEIC mock exam and a pencil. It is known that Emily knows origami, drinks sake and goes to sento baths.

Events of Criminal Case
Emily became a suspect after Jack and the player found her flyer for English lessons, with a message for the victim. She said the victim simply hired her for private English classes, because the victim had made some strategic international alliances and wanted to polish his conversational skills. When Jack wondered if she was alright dealing with a yakuza boss like Yuto, Emily confirmed he was respectful and what he did outside their classes was his own business.
Emily was spoken to again about a locket given to her by the victim's late nephew, Shiro Watanabe. She said she did not mention her prior engagement as she felt it was not important. Emily said that Shiro was yakuza working for Yuto, but he died while trying to protect his uncle. Jack thought her fiancé being killed while working for the victim was a solid murder motive, but Emily assured them she had made peace with Shiro's death.
That was later shown to be false, as Emily was revealed as Yuto's killer. After denying involvement, Emily admitted shooting and killing Yuto to avenge the death of her fiancé and Yuto’s nephew Shiro. Yuto killed Shiro prior to the events of the case because he left the yakuza to marry Emily, taking some of their money in the process. He also shot Emily and left her for dead. Judge Adaku sentenced her to 10 years in prison.
Trivia
- Emily bears many similarities with the protagonist of the Kill Bill films, Beatrix Kiddo:
- She resembles Beatrix Kiddo physically.
- Both characters wear yellow suits.
- Both characters had their fiancé shot by a gang during their wedding day before being shot themselves, albeit non-fatally. They then proceeded to kill the leader of the gang for revenge.
