—Edward Dante |
Edward Dante (appearing as Honorable Dante) is one of the central characters in Criminal Case.
Duties
As the judge of Pacific Bay's primary court service, Dante's main role in the game is to sentence the killers and bring justice to the city at the end of each case in Pacific Bay. The sentence Dante issues depends on the severity of the crime, the mental health of the killer, the motives for the murder, how much false testimony the killer gave out during the investigation, just to name a few.
Appearance
A judge of 56 years of age, Dante has dark green eyes, long white wavy medium hair, and a very bushy beard and mustache of the same colour. Being an aged man, Dante sports many wrinkles on his face. As the judge, he dons a standard judge's robe. Underneath the robe, he wears a white shirt with a red tie which sports a design of gold scales on it.
Trouble in Paradise City
Judge Dante was bothered during the trial of Mikey Bolero.
Following the trial, Judge Dante had no choice but to take matters to his own hands. He asked the player to accommodate him in auditing the working conditions at the Paradise Circus, where many performers were being enslaved at. After the player found a picture of Orsino Ziegfeld abusing The Hanoi Sisters, whom he declared a slave to the circus, Judge Dante pleaded with Orsino to start treating the performers with respect, and as free people, or he would have the circus shut down for good.

Gameplay
As of 11 February 2015, the player may choose Dante from their list of "teammates" (friends who play Criminal Case and are recruited to the player's team, as well as Andrea, Amy, Frank, Yann, Hannah, and Russell) to join the investigation of each crime scene (in any Pacific Bay case) and provide hint bonuses. He is available as a 2-hint partner.
Note that this feature is only available on the mobile version of the game.
Trivia
- Judge Dante mentions Olivia Hall during Ray Westman's trial in The Root of All Evil.
- During the trial of "The Puppeteer" in Hanging by a Thread, Judge Dante sarcastically remarks that he thought the Puppeteer was "some toy that came alive at night and killed people, but turned back into a doll by day." This is a reference to the popular horror movie franchise Child's Play featuring the fictional living doll, "Chucky".
Case Appearances
As one of the central characters in the game and the judge of Pacific Bay's primary court service, Dante appeared in every single case of Pacific Bay, except for Pacific Bay's final two cases. He made his final appearance in Into the Wastes.
