Events of Criminal Case

Damaris became a suspect after the player and Jack identified her from a picture on the crime scene. She was saddened at hearing about the murder of her husband, saying he was a good husband and was close to her heart. According to her, the victim earned more money than anyone else in the village despite being a safari guide, leading her to believe he was possibly killed for his fortune. When asked if he mentioned a tourist named Lavinia De Brills, she said the victim never talked to her about his work.

Damaris was spoken to again about a broken statue, which according to Dupont, is a wedding statue. She said she broke it because she was angry at the victim, saying he treated her like property while she did all the work around the house. When Jack decided to inform her of her husband's involvement in elephant poaching being the reason he made so much money, it shocked her saying she regretted ever marrying him.

Damaris was later found to be innocent after the team incarcerated Nyota Adhiambo for Kariuki's murder.
