Events of Criminal Case
Corpse Chic
In Paris, Chief Delacroix introduced the player to Carrie, explaining that she was on loan to the Parisian Police Squad from the Los Angeles Police Department. Carrie and the player then met Hugo and headed to Pont Alexandre III on report of a murder.
After arresting Elise Marx's killer, Carrie told Chief Delacroix and the player that the main reason that she was in Paris was to find her brother, Cody James. She revealed that Cody had run away from home when he was 16 years old and she was 13. Despite her family looking for him for years, they had given him up for dead. However, a month prior, Carrie had received a postcard from Cody sent from Paris. Unfortunately, she had lost the postcard during the investigation.
After finding the postcard at Place de la Concorde, Chief Delacroix determined from the message on it that Cody was associated with the Pigeons and Rats, the Parisian mob run by gang leader Antoine Macaron. Chief Delacroix and the player asked Antoine if he knew Cody, which he denied. However, he let slip that his underlings hung out at Place de la Concorde. Upon reinvestigating there, Carrie, Chief Delacroix and the player found Cody's cap in a trash can, bringing back memories for Carrie. However, Chief Delacroix reminded her that there was a possibility that Cody was in the mob.
Making the Cut
After arresting Béatrice Sanchez's killer, High Commissioner Delacroix tasked Enzo and the player with organizing a surprise party to welcome Carrie and the player. At the end of the investigation, Hugo messaged Carrie to bring the player and meet him at the Chior rooftop. There, the team surprised Carrie and the player with a party to officially welcome them to the Parisian Police Squad.
After the party, Carrie told the player that she was starting to feel at home in Paris. She then told them that the next step in finding Cody was befriending socialite Eleonora Macaron, Antoine's daughter, in order to get closer to the Pigeons and Rats.
