Events of Criminal Case

Balbina became a suspect after Jack and the player found her, drunk, at the atrium where the victim had hosted her orgy the night before her death. After sobering up, she told the team that Flavia hosted many parties that required lots of stamina. She then said that she would miss her a great deal.

Balbina was spoken to again about the mosaic of herself as half-human, half-donkey. She explained that Flavia had been the one who unveiled the mosaic, humiliating her in order to entertain her guests. She told the team that Flavia thought she was superior to her, and that now she was dead, she would have the last laugh.

Balbina was found to be innocent after the team incarcerated Claudia Pulchra for Flavia's murder. After Zara volunteered to assume Scorpius' place in the chariot race, Zara and the player asked Balbina for help in finding a helmet with Scorpius' emblem on it. She told the team that Flavia had a custom-made helmet that she had brought to the Circus before her murder, prompting the team to reinvestigate the Circus.

  • Balbina is one of the characters who animate (or move) during at least one cutscene in the game.
  • In When in Rome's sticker album, it is noted in the suspect list sticker that Balbina is 5'7" when she appeared as 5'8" in her profile. This is most likely a developer oversight.
